THE SUNDAY PAMPER EVENING

(Top to Bottom) : Tea Flower Purifying Mask // Flake Away // Moringa Body Butter

UNA BRENNAN SUPERFACIALIST PORE PURIFYING CLAY MASK // ST MORIZ INSTANT TANNING MOUSSE IN MEDIUM // SOAP AND GLORY FLAKE AWAY BODY SCRUB // THE BODY SHOP BODY BUTTER IN MORINGA // BARRY M GELLY NAIL PAINT IN BLUEBERRY // PURE TEA TREE OIL

I've never really been one for the traditional luxurious pampering session that most tend to do on Sunday evenings; but today was a little different. Assignments have left me feeling stressed, too many late nights (and too much alcohol) have left my skin worse for wear and I couldn't think of anything better than to spend hours preening and pampering. The essays can wait til Monday....

As I don't have a bath here at uni, on pamper nights I have to settle for a loooong shower, where I clean, shave and exfoliate til my heart's content. I know everyone loves Soap and Glory, but this is one of the brands that honestly does live up to the hype; everything I've tried I love and this body scrub is no exception. This one is quite harsh (if you're looking for something a little gentler I'd recommend the breakfast scrub), and can be a little messy in the shower, but it's exactly what I need to rid myself of my dry flakey skin, and it smells incredible too.

Once I'm out of the shower I moisturise with the body shop body butters; everyone knows how incredible these are, heavily moisturising yet easily absorbed and leave the skin feeling amazing (and smelling heavenly too). My favourites are the Coconut or Shea ones, but this was £3 in January Sales, and it's a light vanilla scent that I love too.

While the moisturiser is sinking in, I apply a face mask. I posted about face masks here, but this is one of my newest additions. I love it; perfect for days when your skin is breaking out, and leaves it feeling thoroughly cleansed and much clearer. I can't believe the quality for the price and I need to check out more of the Una Brennan range (the hydration mask is next on my list). I then complete the rest of my skincare routine (post coming soon), and apply tea tree oil onto any pesky remaining pimples.

Next up, fake tan. I'm not really a fake tan kind of girl, but we're getting into Spring now, and I always feel so much better about myself when I'm a little browner. St Moriz is the classic budget choice for fake tan, and I have adored it for years. It's a mousse, so easy to apply, is tinted, so you can see where you're putting it on  (no patches), dries quickly, and is a gorgeous olive colour that isn't too dark or orange for my pale skin. What's not to love?

Finally, what pamper evening is complete without a DIY mani and a Netflix marathon? I picked a gorgeous cornflower blue offering from Barry M and Season 4 of Gossip Girl. Bliss.

What are your favourite products for the perfect Sunday pamper evening?
