Revlon Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel in Cheers - £6.49 & Rimmel Space Dust Nail Polish in Aurora - £3.99
I'll be honest, I'm not much of a nail art girl. I cannot be bothered with multiple colours, pens, gems and I have the unsteadiest hand in the world (my lack of patience can't be much help either). I am appreciative of a beautifully painted nail though, be it all over one colour or an intricate tribal design. Which puts me in a bit of a dilemma. I want gorgeous nails (who doesn't?), but I am reluctant to put in any time or effort perfecting my nail art skills. Cue the statement nail.
I'm not sure if the 'statement nail' is really 'in' anymore, I vaguely remember it doing the rounds about two years ago, but these things always come back into style right? Anyway, I love this look, subtle but with a bit of a punch. I'm really into nude nails at the minute, they always seem to work in spite of the 'season-limbo' we're currently in? (Is it winter? Spring? Summer? Who knows?)
This is the perfect pinky browny nude, I think it looks super sophisticated and lasts aaages on the nails. Not as long as the Rimmel glitter though. I've had these nails for about a week and a half now and (even after washing the dishes) it hasn't budged. Amazing. It's going to kill me taking it off though!!
Do you like this NOTD, or are statement nails a bit too dated for you?
