RIMMEL WAKE ME UP FOUNDATION // BOURJOIS CC CREAM // SLEEK CONTOUR KIT // RIMMEL KATE MOSS LIPSTICK IN 16 // NATURAL COLLECTION BLUSH IN PEACH MELBA // BOURJOIS JAVA RICE POWDER // BOURJOIS 2-STEP VOLUMIZER MASCARA // RIMMEL EYELINER IN PURE WHITE // MUA EYELINER IN RICH BROWN // COLLECTION 2000 FAST STROKE LIQUID EYELINER
I rarely wear this much makeup day to day, but the sun was shining when I woke up and I thought I'd try something a little different (even though it's raining as I write this now... British weather...*sighs*). I started with this tutorial from Zoe London, and i love the results, quick, messy, effortless curls. Ideal for summer.
To match my summery hair, I went a little brighter with the war paint. I applied my usual base - a mixture of Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation and Bourjois' CC Cream (review here), a touch of bronzer from Sleek to warm my (deathly pale) complexion, a pop of Natural Collection blush and a light dusting of my favourite Bourjois powder. Medium coverage, dewy complexion? Sorted.
Nothing too groundbreaking on the eyes, my holy grail Collection 2000 eyeliner (rave can be found here), paired with liberal coats of Bourjois's 2-step volumising mascara. A swipe of MUA's eyeliner through the brows and Rimmel's white eyeliner on the waterline finishes off the everyday eye.
The lips is where we get experimental, I can't be bothered to wear lipstick everyday, but this colour is gorgeous (I don't think this picture captures its brightness, but a swatch can be found here) and I rarely wear it, so I thought it deserved an outing. Especially paired with this jumper (here, from New Look), i was pretty pleased with how this look turned out, very summery and fresh; especially for a girl like me who lives in monochrome.
